 The Laughing Skull By Ruskin Bond: Book Review About the Author Ruskin Bond is well acclaimed an renowned author and most loved children's author in India. He's been writing for over 60 years, and now has over 120 titles in print - novel, collections of short stories, poetry, essay, etc. Background and Review The Laughing Skull is a collection of short stories and while most of them are based on ghosts, some are purely humorous. The book has nearly 24 short stories and 'The Laughing Skull' is the first one. (This is the name of the book as well!). As usual, Ruskin Bond tales though simple, touch you to the core of your heart. These stories invoke different emotions. Some invoke chill, others laughter, while some let you brood over. The reason why I bought this book is due to its cover. The book appeal to me at the very first sight by its vibrant cover (I know, never judge a book by it's cover, but I did!).
